Once you have obtained your user certificate files, you will need to transfer them to the machine(s) you will be submitting jobs from, or a common home directory location.  You should save these files in your home directory, under the subdirectory "''.globus''", which you may have to create.    Your certificate will be composed of two files, "''userkey.pem''" and "''usercert.pem''".

Finally, secure your new certificate by assigning a passphrase to it and restricting the Unix permissions:

  chmod -R g=,o= ~/.globus
