Northwest Indiana Computer Grid Joins International Network

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Northwest Indiana Computational Grid, a distributed computing facility, has become the first regional grid to join the international Open Science Grid.

The Northwest Indiana Computational Grid -- which links the scientific resources of the University of Notre Dame, Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Purdue University in West Lafayette and the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory with fiber-optic connections -- will now be able to share in the latest advances in distributed computing technologies offered by the Open Science Grid.
